The first would be minor muscle soreness following an adjustment. This typically only happens after the first adjustment, and in my experience, only occurs in about 2 out of 10 people. The second unwanted effect that I’ve heard of is being very tired following an adjustment; as in having to take a nap or go to sleep. This is very rare, and has only happened a couple handfuls of times over the past decade I’ve been in practice.

That would be very convenient, but unfortunately, you cannot. Even chiropractors can’t adjust themselves! I have my spine checked once to twice per week, and I need one of my chiropractor friends to come by the office in order for that to happen. There is a big difference between making pops and cracking noises in your spine and a specific chiropractic adjustment. Sadly, you can’t believe everything you see on TikTok.

Absolutely not. At ChiroPure you will remain fully clothed at all times. If you are wearing a thick jacket or sweatshirt we may ask you to remove that, so we can better palpate your spine, but you will remain fully clothed.

Chiropractors receive extensive education and training; more than most people realize. Before attending chiropractic school, you are required to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree. Dr. Jen holds hers in Human Biology.

Chiropractic school itself is an additional 3.5 years, attending year-round. They receive training in all the sciences including anatomy, biochemistry, physiology, neurology, histology, and more. They take courses in pharmacology, nutrition, physical therapy, plus other specialties. And, of course, they also receive extensive training in palpation and technique.

There are currently 19 chiropractic schools across the United States. Dr. Jen graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN in 2011.

Chiropractic school is very rigorous and takes a lot of grit, determination, and effort to complete. Chiropractors are also required to pass National Board Exams and State Board Exams before they are able to practice and care for the public. Continuing education is also required by all states in order to maintain your license to practice.
